Walking routes
We set up our spot in the woodlands to encourage people here... not cars. We've got some wonderful circular routes so you can enjoy the great outdoors and leave your car at home!
Please note.. if you do attempt to drive up the private track your car may become squashed by a tractor. It is strictly access by foot only. There is no compromise on this..
IF THE SMALL CAR PARK AREA OPPOSITE I WANT PLANTS ON ASHLEY MILL LANE IS FULL PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE TRACK. PLEASE PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE AND FOLLOW A WALKING ROUTE.
On arrival we have sheltered areas and some seating pods if you get caught out in the Great British Weather!!

Route 1- 0.6 miles 12min Pram friendly.. Just.. carrier better

Starting South Road South Downs Hale.. Walk down Ashley mill lane north following the route.
DO NOT PARK BADLY. RESPECT OTHERS AND DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS!

Route 2- 1.20 mile- 20/25min pram friendly.
A lovely walk from St Elizabeth's Church Ashley Road Ashley WA143QE. Cars can park on the car park here Monday to Sunday. Sunday no parking until after 1PM.1.20 mile walk pram friendly route.

Route 3- 0.7 miles 13min. suitable for prams.

This route avoids the foot bridge and cobbles.
Starting South road/South Downs Road Walk down the road and turn left at I want plants sign (our sign is there also) Suitable for prams but single file as a little narrow. DO NOT PARK BADLY. RESPECT OTHERS AND DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS!

Starting in Hale follow the map please note you can join route 4 also by heading down Ashley mill lane north.

From Altrincham metro link...Great if your coming off the metro and fancy a nice stroll out to the countryside to avoid the hustle and bustle. one min surrounded by people.... the next surrounded by trees!

Manchester Piccadilly to Ashley by train... 38min!! every hour!!
Ashley Railway station...Why not get a train out of the city... From Manchester Piccadilly you can get to Ashley in 38min direct and they run every hour!! then take a 25min stroll through the countryside to us please see link! Its so easy!
