A message from Into The Wild.. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Hello, and thank you all for booking onto the pony trek to see Father Christmas. Please read the following information about your booking.
We have allocated one-hour time slots for the event. We have 4 ponies and 18 people in each hour slot, so we should have plenty of time and no rush. Some treks may take longer due to younger participants, etc.
If you booked two children and they’re young they can share a pony if it makes them feel more comfortable. All to be agreed on the day and is at the pony handlers discretion.
When you arrive, you will be given a buzzer, and when your buzzer buzzes, it will be your turn for the pony trek. Please make sure not to arrive late. We will operate on a first-come, first-served basis for your allocated time slot, but the buzzer system will allow you to wait without standing around.
We have your name and number of participants booked for. So please don’t worry about your ticket if you can’t find it. The confirmation ticket usually gets lost and also ends up in junk.. if you want to try find it you can. Maybe look in junk and type in WIX or into the wild. But please do t worry if you can’t find it. We have your booking name.
On the trek:
Please make sure you have booked correctly. The cost is £15 per child for the pony ride. Each child will receive a small gift from Father Christmas. Only two adults per child are allowed on the trek, as we cannot accommodate large groups of people walking with the ponies. Please save all photos for when the children are chatting with Father Christmas and not when they are getting on the pony. Under no circumstances should you bring a dog on the trek. Your child will be provided with a helmet and will be accompanied by a pony handler while on the pony. A parent or guardian must be present.
Getting to us:
Please do not drive up to the woods, and do not park on the private farm track or the small car park opposite I Want Plants on Ashley Mill Lane.
Please follow one of our walking routes (link above). with the closest being route 2 (15 minutes). It is possible to use a pram on all routes, but a carrier is recommended. On the Sunday 17th , Saturday 23rd, and Sunday 24th of December, parking at Ashley Hall is available, but it is not available on the Saturday 16th, as it is occupied. Please do not attempt to park here on the 16th. The address for Ashley Hall is Ashley Road, WA143QA. The walk from the car park to us is 15 minutes and goes through a field, so expect mud and wet conditions. This applies to all of our routes. It is important not to park inconsiderately, so please do not block driveways or other people in if parking on a walking route. Car sharing is recommended, and please do not drive up to the woods.
At the woods:
Please do not bring picnics, and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We will be serving wood-fired pizza from 12 pm, as well as bacon egg wraps, hot dogs, and ham and cheese wraps for kids all day. We also have vegan pizza (marinara). We have a variety of drinks for kids, as well as alcoholic drinks if you would like a beer or wine. We will also have waffles and marshmallow toasting.
We have a kids' activity area available to book on our website. You can also book on the day, but it is recommended to do so through our website. The area has activities suitable for children aged 0-12 years.
Please expect it to be fairly busy, and it is advisable to bring cash as our card reader may not work well in the woods. However, if you forget, it should not be a problem.
On 16/17th Dec there will be Christmas markets from 12pm with live music. (Free).
Everywhere will be wet so please dress for the occasion and expect mud. It’s dry and relatively mud free in the woods but getting to us isn’t. A torch is recommended for the return walk.. it’s lit in the woods but not on the way back.
In the event of extreme weather conditions we reserve the right to cancel the event. You will be issued a refund should this be the case. This is the only circumstance we will issue a refund.
It’s sure to very magical and is definitely a unique experience..
Into the wild.
